Primary School Subjects Department: G1 My First Engineering Project

November 1, 2020

It has been an action-packed month of science this October. Our young engineers in Grade 1 started off this month by presenting their design process projects. They had spent weeks perfecting their designs and they couldn’t wait to show them off.

Their task was to design the tallest (and safest) tower or a structure that would hold the weight of their textbook. How do you think they did?

Our engineers tried all the materials they could find at home, made different prototypes, and improved their designs step by step. Our students alsoconsideredwhich materials we can find in nature and which ones are human-made, which is a very important concept in engineers’ work.

Though these first projects might not be very advanced, they are the 1st step of a long journey. Our young engineers are sure to thrive in the future.
