On October 30th, 2019, the Shanghai High School International Division Science Fair was held successfully at Puxi Campus.

The Science Fair combines the four main science courses: mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology. Students could come to understand more about the wonderful world of science through experiments, a teachers and students’ knowledge competition, lectures, and other activities.

The chemistry department offered a lot of interesting activities, including fun chemistry experiments by the ChemO Club, making lip balm, cleaning tarnished silverware, a chemical garden in a bottle, and the silver mirror experiment. There were also a variety of lectures and open classes, such as a special course from East China University of Science and Technology, called “Twelve Flower Gods: Chemistry and Art.” This course discussed combining chemistry and art, which taught students how different disciplines can be utilized simultaneously.
