Excellent Project Exhibition: “If National Treasures Could Talk”

April 24, 2019

To guide students toward seeing the glory of ancient Chinese civilization, appreciate the richness and depth of Chinese culture, understand the precious value of ancient relics, and cultivate their ability to collect and process information, the sixth-grade Chinese group teachers created a project centered around national treasures. The students were asked to first collect information before class and then watched the documentary, “If National Treasures Could Talk”.

The teachers then asked the students to choose a favorite national treasure, design a poster about it, and endorse it. For this project, the students were encouraged to learn knowledge independently as well as through cooperation and inquiry. The students used their short vacation to design a beautiful poster modeled after: “If National Treasures Could Talk”. Each poster featured a vivid image of a national treasure speaking about their destiny, history, and the challenges they faced. We look forward to the accompanying speeches to follow.
