Grade 11: Class Poster Display

March 9, 2022

In the third week of the second semester, high school juniors once again designed their own class posters. Each class’s poster was designed by a couple of talented artists from that class. This semester’s class poster theme is “Faster, Higher, Stronger”.

Every class had the chance to interpret the theme in their own ways. The interpretations were very diverse, varying from incorporating anime elements to aiming to strengthen environmental awareness, and to promoting school sports spirit through connecting it to the recent 2022 Winter Olympics. Since the 2022 Winter Olympics ended very recently, most classes chose to relate the theme to that. The 2022 Winter Olympics has been one of the most discussed issues lately; everyone is stirred up by the aestheticism and enthusiasm projected by these athletes who participated in the Olympics. Despite the many dangerous moves and potential failures these athletes had to combat, they still put in their best effort and performed very well. Inspired by the optimism and amazing work ethic embodied by these athletes, these Olympics-related class posters aim to encourage everyone to also work hard, take risks, and become the best version of themselves despite the many overwhelming obstacles that they might face along the way.

Since the class poster is usually the first thing that people see when they walk into a classroom, each class poster represents each class’s distinctive message and energy it has to offer to others. The designers of each class’s poster all spent a lot of time brainstorming their classes' posters and put in a lot of effort trying to make their class a better learning and growing environment for everyone. Continuing this annual tradition of designing class posters at high school not only helps unite each class’s students but also provides a platform for talented artists in the school community to showcase their creativity.
