Primary School Subjects Department: My First Job Interview

In December, Grade 4 students began a new science project: researching environmental careers and participating in mock interviews as though they were actually preparing for a job in their chosen field.

Beginning with a list of careers, students were asked to determine a job that they would be interested in researching. Many of our young scientists chose to research careers like oceanography, geology, urban planning, and zoology. Once they completed their research, including writing a mock resume and a mock cover letter, the students were interviewed by their science teachers.

During classes on December 26th, the amazing students dressed professionally or as professionals would dress in that particular field. The students interviewed in spectacular fashion and, who knows, maybe we have a future famous oceanographer among us!
