Puxi Grade 2 Mathematics: My Shopping Cart

This semester, Grade 2 students learned about different coins. In order to help students to recognize different coins, our teachers arranged a mathematical project called “My Shopping Cart”.

Students can buy three items costing $3. They also need to find the images for their items as well as their price in US cents and show teachers in their Keynote app. In this project, students are required to show the same amount of money using different sets of coins and use a tally system to record their findings.

Teachers believe that when children really need to use currency for trading, they will be able to handle the situation with ease.
