SHSID High School Teachers’ Professional Development Day

On December 25, 2019, High School Teachers’ Professional Development Day was held at SHSID. It was composed of two parts:the “Grass Cup” ForumandSubject Groups Activities.

--Teachers’ Understanding and Implementation of the Educational Activity Program

The SHSID High School “Grass Cup” Forum 2019 was held in the Zhentao Building. It aimed to provide a platform for teachers to share and discuss their understanding and implementation of the Educational Activity Program. More than 100 high school teachers participated in the forum.

All the work and efforts of SHSID teachers are focused onSTUDENTS. Every educator strives to contribute to the personal and lifelong development of every student. High school homeroom teachers, who also act as guidance counselors, know their students pretty well. Beyond that, they are not only responsible for the consulting and management work, but also are key subject teachers. In the forum, four homeroom teachers, Ms. Ye Zhen, Ms. Zheng Xiaoyan, Ms. Zhou Dandan, and Mr. Hong Miao, discussedtheir original aspirations, persistence, hard work, and happiness as educators with vivid examples. As they share, “You only live once. To become who you want to be, your life requires careful design”, “It doesn’t matter how many times they failed” and “All the efforts will be rewarded in a certain way. This is the power of persistence.”

Ms. Chen Lin, Mr. Liao Hui, Ms. Liu Qin and Ms. Zhang Li introduced newly developed courses in the domains of Student Interest, PBL, Teachers’ Professional Development, and Student Activities. In the end, Principal Ma aligned the growth of students, the promotion of teachers, and the development of the school and put forward the prospects of the future.

In the forum, several senior teachers who have been homeroom teachers for more than ten years were invited to the stage and were presented with a SHSID gift from Ms. Liu Min, the vice principal of SHSID High School, for their continuous effort and work.
