Grade 11-12: PTSA Meeting

On September 25, PTSA representatives of grades 11-12 held the first meeting of the semester. The meeting was hosted by Ms. Liu Qin, Director of Students Affairs Center. Grades 11 and 12 head teachers and parent representatives attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Ms. Liu Qin first spoke to the parents' representatives about the main activities held in previous school year, such as multicultural culture expo day, sports meet, career talk, company visits, and job shadow. Then, Ms. Liu Qin introduced the "new changes" in the new school year, including the comprehensive evaluation system for students, the four-year students’ personal growth course in high school, and various outdoor exploration projects such as go China and AJ adventure. After Ms. Liu’s review, Grade 11 head teacher Ms. Zhang Yueyue guided the 11th grade parent representatives around the newly upgraded SHSID media center. Grade 12 head teacher Ms. Gu Ying introduced the college application progress for the 2020 graduating class to the 12th grade parent representatives, focusing on the strategies school has implemented to guide students to choose their college lists, to write their personal essays, and to prepare application materials. Ms. Gu also hopes that parents will cooperate with teachers and schools throughout the college application process, and help students successfully navigate through this busy period.

The meeting was successfully concluded in a friendly atmosphere. The meeting achieved fruitful results. Parents attending the meeting said that it was very helpful for them and would also deliver the meeting minutes to other parents.
