The Longyin Club, Zhengming Club, and Youshan Club of the High School Chinese Department were awarded the honor of Excellent Clubs in 2018-2019 semester.

These three clubs provided a grand opportunity for SHSID students who love Chinese culture, writing, and drama, and have become very popular in recent years.

Organizing the Huayu Debate Club is an important undertaking for the Chinese Department this semester. The department hopes this club will offer students a platform to express their ideas. The members of this club will also have the chance to participate in the Shanghai International School Debate Competition. Students interested in Chinese debate are welcome to consult their Chinese teachers for moreinformation.
