Pudong Campus: The Best Decoration in the School

September 15, 2019

Though it is only the second week of this semester, the hallways of Pudong campus are bursting with color. The teachers have started to decorate the boards in the hallway with student summer holiday projects. Many colorful and interesting projects were made during the summer!

Walking through the first-floor hallway, one can see the grade two students’ “Money in my Country” projects for math class, in which they introduce currencies around the world. Some even brought real coins to show to their classmates. The “Love Notes on My Birthday” projects for Chinese class were also done incredibly well. Students submitted posters, flip books, and even pop-up books. No matter how they displayed it, these second-grade students did their best to show how unforgettable their birthdays were and how much love they felt from their families.

Continuing through the hallway, one’s attention will be attracted to the imaginative projects from the students in grade 3. On their posters for the “What If I Were...” project, they hypothesized what would happen if they were a specific character in a fictional story and what they would do to reach a better ending.

On the second floor, one can find the 4th and 5th graders’ amazing work, which required the use of logic and research skills. Students in grade four submitted academic posters featuring several pieces of news as well as practical and ingenious Chinese vocabulary brochures. As members of the highest grade in primary school, the 5th graders explored unknown places, took on challenges, and broadened their horizons. Their projects highlight their colorful and unforgettable summer memories.

The students of every grade are now welcome to eagerly examine the projects completed by their schoolmates. With these delicate projects, the hallway now looks even more beautiful than before: student work is always the greatest decoration. At SHSID, there are plenty of opportunities for students to show their creativity and hard work.
