Pudong Campus Grade 5: May the Luck Be With You

March 16, 2021

“May your blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow. And may trouble avoid you wherever you go.” It’s time to wear green! St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated annually on March 17th. During the P&B class on Mar.16th, the 5th Graders of Pudong campus learned a lot about this festival and Irish culture as well. From a short video clip of St. Patrick’s Day, students got to learn about the origin. After that, the teachers introduced some more knowledge about Irish culture, one of which was how to make Irish soda bread. The students were quite curious about the cuisine and even decided to try the recipe when they got home. The last activity, of course, would be a special way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. We chose to make origami shamrocks! During these activities, the students not only had great fun but also learned a lot about different cultures.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, we wish everyone good luck!
