On March 2nd, the 9th graders, as usual, gathered around in the Lecture Hall of Zhentao Building during the P&B period. To begin with, Mr. Hong Miao, the homeroom teacher of 9(12), gave a short introduction about what upcoming lectures there will be in the following days of the week with the student host Tony. Then, Sophia gave a speech about one’s vocabulary ability’s correlation to her future life, career, income, SAT scores, success, etc. This Assembly, as all other ones before it, was an informative time in providing the student body extra knowledge aside from academics. The newly minted high-school students are now getting more and more used to listening to multiple kinds of speech on various topics, which will all undoubtedly benefit them in many ways.
