SHSID High School Students Got Outstanding Achievements in the AMC 2021

March 8, 2021

American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) is a worldwide competition for teenagers sponsored by the American Mathematical Association (MAA). At present, about 300,000 students from more than 6,000 schools worldwide participate in this competition annually, which is considered one of the most influential global competitions. AMC provides a reliable reference for international universities and colleges to know students' mathematics academic achievements. Only the top 2.5% of AMC10 and the top 5% of AMC12 students are invited to participate in the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME).

SHSID provides great assistance and enrichment platforms for students with learning enthusiasm and subject expertise. To facilitate students' AMC preparation, the school regularly sets aside a certain amount of time for discussion in the high level classes, give full play to the students' initiative in the AMC Club after class, and hire veteran Mathematics Olympics coaches to offer the after-class competition enhancement training.

For the needs of epidemic prevention, AMC10/12 2021 was held online in February. According to the latest AIME qualification cutoff, more than 30 students from SHSID successfully qualified for AIME 2021. Congratulations to these students! Let's wish for them the best results in the coming challenge!
