Department of Social Sciences: SHSID Students Performed Well in the Wharton Global High School Investment Competition

January 19, 2021

The Wharton Global High School Investment Competition is organized by the Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania, open to all high-school students all over the world. Each year, the competition starts from October and lasts for about 3 months. Students need to conduct stock transactions on a virtual stock market and, more importantly, finish an analysis report based on the demands of a virtual client. On January 18th, 2021, the regional round results of the competition were announced. Two teams from SHSID composed of Grade 10-11 students got into the top 10 teams of Region 1. There were over 900 teams from 35 countries who submitted their regional-round competition reports this year. All teams were divided into 4 regions based on their geographic locations. Only 10 teams from each region could break into the next level. Congratulations to the two teams. We hope they will achieve good results during the finals round of competition!
