Grade 8: Tea Art

January 13, 2021

China is a country of tea culture. During this semester, G8 students were exposed to tea culture. Students not only learned about the history of tea culture in China, the origin of tea, the classification, and so on, but also started to appreciate the tea-drinking customs of various regions and minority groups in China. The practice is also an important part of the course. Students engaged in practicing etiquette and greetings of tea ceremony, methods to brew tea, and how to prepare tea and tea sets for the people we care about. On the last day of the course, students made dragon pearl tea and pomanders as a gift for their family.

It is a good way to learn about Chinese traditional culture through the taste of tea. More students are welcome to enjoy!
