To consolidate the “Knowledge of Motion” in Chapter 7, encourage students to go beyond their textbooks, and think about the origins of mechanical units of measurement, Grade 8 students surveyed the story of “Force Unit Newton” last week. Students were able to appreciate Isaac Newton’s persistence and love for science, as well as admire his truly stunning contributions towards human scientific development. The survey not only enriched students’ understanding but also helped to foster a genuine love of science and independent thinking and problem-solving akin to that of Isaac Newton.
