On the afternoon of March 4th, the seniors of SHSID participated in a legal lecture online. To begin, each homeroom teacher had a meeting with their students to emphasize several announcements to prepare seniors for the last semester of high school. After that, students read through lecture based slides to study the laws of the United States. From a general explanation of the importance of judicial review and other legal traditions in American history, students learned how to protect themselves with knowledge of their personal rights while away at college. This lecture also included warnings about certain acts, such as bullying, drug use, and discrimination, which students must avoid in the future. With their newly learned knowledge, students feel more confident about thriving in this special period and continuing their academic life in the States.
