Grade 9 CAS: Junior Students Share Their Academic Experiences

December 16, 2019

In the chilly and relaxing afternoon of December 11th, 2019, eleven juniors presented lectures about the pivotal 4-year-plan to each freshman class. At first, they offered a quick breakdown of the 10th grade course selection agenda. The juniors stressed the significance of choosing appropriate and personally advantageous courses and strongly advised freshmen to avoid subjects they are not the most confident in. The juniors repeatedly emphasized that students must alter their schedules according to the selected courses and prioritize quality over quantity. Additionally, they briefly elaborated on the procedures, benefits, and risks of taking IB and AP programs in the future. Moving on to discuss time-management and self-discipline, the juniors outlined some general tips (e.g. never sacrifice sleep) and then shared about their personal experiences with poor time-management. Their words of encouragement and inspiration instilled a sense of curiosity and determination in the freshmen’s hearts.
