High School Biology Department: Protists Observation Lab

December 2, 2019

On November 26th, the 11th grade biology class observed protists in the lab. During the observation, students made wet mounts of paramecia, a typical protist. They observed its structure under a microscope and recorded how paramecia move in water. Then, students observed the prepared slides of other protists, and took gorgeous micrographs. Through this lab, students reviewed what they learned from their textbooks. In addition, they were able to better grasp characteristics of protists, and enjoyed the observations.
