Grade 11 Assembly: Junior Project Introduction

November 21, 2019

During the November 14th assembly, AP English teacher Mr. Roberts gave curious students a thorough and informative introduction to the Junior Project. This project is a perfect opportunity for students to take action regarding any topic or issue present in society and ultimately make an impact on their community.

The Junior Project requires students to form a team consisting of anywhere between 6 to 8, which must be diverse in terms of homerooms. Recruiting this number of members from different homerooms is the first step in taking initiative, which is essential to succeed in this project. The project will require interdisciplinary skills so each individual can contribute to the team with their own sets of abilities. This project is a long process, requiring students to work on it through the entire school year, wrapping up with a team presentation next May.

Ms. Zhang Yueyue concluded the assembly with a brief motivational speech. She emphasized it is important to stay committed and continue with the studies. Students were all inspired by her words, once again reminding themselves why they chose the challenging courses in the first place.
