Chinese Element Cultural Creation Activity

November 6, 2019

In addition to the fashion show in October, Grade 6 teachers also carefully designed many activities for the Chinese culture week, hoping that the students could deepen their understanding of Chinese culture.

The Chinese Element Cultural Creation Activity was inspired by the cultural TV show, “The Fashion Palace Museum”. The purpose was to let students give full reign to their creativity, combine Chinese elements with their daily necessities, and put their inspiration on paper.

Under the guidance of the teacher, the students quickly developed a variety of "Chinese style" cultural and creative projects, including clothing, folding fans, stationery, clothing, umbrellas and so on. Some even made real objects, which the teachers praised and admired. Whenever there is a chance, the infinite imagination of children shines!

Through this series of activities, not only did the students feel the beauty of Chinese culture, but they also focused their creativity on daily life. The children learned to find the beauty of the Chinese culture in their hands and experience the beauty of tradition.
