A Very SpecialπDay

March 14, 2022

On March 14th every year, it’s a tradition for the high school Math Department to celebrate π day with well-designed activities. This year’s π day, themed “Maesthetics”, is planned by the High School Math Department in collaboration with the Art Department and aimed at inspiring students to take art as a means to express their understanding of and love for mathematics. The “Maesthetics” exhibition, planned and prepared since the beginning of this semester, includes a collection of excellent Math project artworks and finally is to come into being with the efforts of students and teachers! Nonetheless, it is a pity that the opening of this exhibition is right at the time of citywide offline class suspension. Some teachers paid a visit to the “Maesthetics” exhibition beforehand, appreciated students’ creative and diversified artworks and provided us with these pictures for the students to have a view of this exhibition without physically being there.

A variety of well-designed lunch break carnival and in-class activities for Monday has to be cancelled as well. Pity as it is, we do believe that with the collective efforts by everybody in this city, our reunion won’t be far! In the near future, let’s restart the “Maesthetics” celebration and enjoy the beauty of Math together!
