On the cheerful afternoon of April 3, students flocked to the front of Xianmian Building for the club fair, which showcased the vibrant tapestry of extracurricular activities available to high school students. Over 30 clubs participated in the event, presenting an array of interests ranging from animal care and chess to debates and academic competitions.
Each club took the opportunity to present a brief showcase to the audience, providing a snapshot of their unique offerings to fellow students. To capture students’ attention and leave mementos of this special occasion, clubs handed out souvenirs like postcards and bracelets for the students.
One standout moment from the fair was the captivating performance by L2D Drama, who offered a sneak peek into their upcoming musical production, "Heathers". The actresses' rendition of the score "Candy Store" left the audience eagerly anticipating the full release, which is scheduled for May. Additionally, the graceful dancers from Long Yin Club attracted onlookers with their skillful performance, reigniting interest in traditional Chinese dance among the audience.
The club fair underscored SHSID's commitment to a holistic education, emphasizing the importance of well-rounded development. By fostering an environment of mutual respect and appreciation for diverse interests, students not only gain knowledge but also cultivate a broader perspective for their future endeavors.
