Puxi Grade 4: The Biggest House in the World — Story Mom

March 27, 2019

During the CAS class on March 27th, our story moms came to the Fourth Grade with a very interesting story named The Biggest House in the World, written by Leo Lionni. A young snail dreams of having the biggest house, or shell, in the world. Then one day, his wise father tells him the story of another snail with the same dream. He grew and grew, adding bright colors and beautiful designs, until he found that his house came at a terrible cost. After this story, the young snail decides that a small, easy-to-carry shell might be best for a life of adventure and exploration.

All students enjoyed this instructive story. It helps students know that “a big house" is not necessarily "the best house.” The best one is the one that suits them. The interesting story ended in much laughter, and we still have no end to it!
