As one of the most exciting events at SHSID, Career Day is always popular and well reputed among grade 4 students. In the afternoon of April 2nd, 2019, the parents who enrolled in the event temporarily dropped their heavy workloads and arrived at SHSID Pudong campus, bringing their interesting stories and career experiences with them.

To celebrate Career Day, the parents stepped into different classrooms and provided our students with detailed information and sincere suggestions related to their careers. Beyond the explicit and engaging explanations of their jobs, the parents also provided some intriguing stories, which helped the students better comprehend their careers. The parents gave constructive suggestions and support to the students interested in their field.

International trading, finance, startups, yoga and health, animal protection, music, games, story writing, law –parents from various domains discussed their careers, patiently answered the students’ questions, and gave them directions on their prospective careers. Vivid and captivating activities were brought into classrooms by the versatile parents. By participating in these kinds of activities, not only did the 4thgraders gain abundant knowledge, but they also learned how to apply the knowledge to practice, which is of vital importance.
