On Thursday, April 18th, the entire high school English department attended another impassioned lecture delivered by Professor Zou from East China Normal University. His lecture illuminated leading teaching practices in helping students master content while also fulfilling their language learning needs. Professor Zou detailed his observations regarding the teaching techniques used by SHSID high school teachers and provided insight into a variety of areas, including language acquisition, content delivery, and corrective feedback. Despite their busy grading schedules, the entire department was fully engaged in Professor Zou’s lecture. The English teachers actively asked a variety of follow-up questions that promoted lively discussion and helpful guidance.
