Grade 6: Global Community Fair

May 22, 2019

On Thursday, May 16th, the students had a gallery walk of 17 different sustainable goals in their Youth Development class. Each homeroom was assigned to one of the 17 goals and formed different groups to prepare presentations on how to achieve those goals.

The students were very creative and thought of different ways to present their goals. Some made eye-catching PowerPoints, and some made colorful posters. Some gave fascinating presentations, while others patiently waited for audiences to come. The class that worked on the “sustainable cities and communities” goal had a group of students that chose to act it out, which was awesome! The class with the “gender equality” goal had a group that chose to tell a story about it. The sound of laughter and talking filled every corner.

Overall, the students liked this activity a lot and had fun while learning about the different goals. The activity successfully accomplished its objective to educate the students while also letting them enjoy the process.
