This year, grade one launched various activities to welcome the traditional Chinese Dragon Boat Festival. Students first learned the legendary story behind this festival with accompanying videos. They saw what led the patriotic poet to commit suicide and how people grieved him. Later, in order to better integrate our students’ life experiences with the traditional customs, students learned to draw an animated Zongzi and decorated them as they wish. After today, our grade one students better observed the festival with morals in mind.
