Puxi Grade 2: Students Perfectly Present Chinese Plays After Just Weeks of Practice

June 3, 2019

The second graders have studied several interesting texts throughout this year and the characters in them impressed the students a lot. Towards the end of this semester, the teachers converted the texts into plays and let the students present them in groups.

After weeks of practice, the students were familiar with every character and could recite the words fluently. On the afternoon of May 31, the second graders presented the Chinese plays in each class. The students got changed into their costumes and their parents prepared vivid backgrounds and stage props. The little actors and actresses used full body language and excellent facial expressions. The other students watched happily and were amused by the funny parts.

Practicing Chinese plays further trains students’ speaking ability, while also had allowing them to gain a better and deeper understanding of the texts.
