Chinese and Western Fine Arts Open Courses: Fine Brushwork and Western Font Design

Recently, art teacher Jifan opened his “Introduction to Fine Brush Painting” class in the Art Center. He teaches the basics of Chinese brush painting, so that students can understand the process of using a brush and drawing lines. Students also learn by copying a sample manuscript, making them feel rich depth and profound nature Chinese painting.

The open class offered by Mr. Li Mufeng is “The Application and Design of Western Font”. This course helps students understand the two types of Western font design: serif font and non-serif font. By learning about the development of the two types of font, students recognize font characteristics and how they can be used in practical design, so that they can better use text graphics to enrich projects.
