The Internet has become an essential tool in life, and it is also one of the indispensable resources for primary school students. Taking the essence of the massive resources and eliminate the unnecessary ones has become one of the most concerning issues for primary school teachers and parents.

On February 22, during PG class, the second and third-grade teachers led the students to learn how to use Internet resources more appropriately, prevent personal information leakage, and when they need parents’ accompaniment to operate.

After the teacher’s presentation, the second-grade students brainstormed about Internet security. Everyone spoke freely about the problems and understood the importance of using the Internet properly and protecting privacy. After the brainstorm, the students began to practice based on what they already knew. Students pasted pieces of paper with different information contents in the boxes of “Self,” “Friends and Family,” and “Community.” They discussed the reasons for classification with their peers to further understandhow to use the Internet properly.

After the teacher’s introduction, the third-grade students discussed and completed the posters in group. They elaborated on the reasons behind each cybersecurity topic and better understood the importance of cybersecurity. Finally, everyone signed their names on the cover page of the poster to show their determination to become responsible digital citizens.
