Puxi Campus Grades 4-5: 30 Minutes A Day to Become Independent Learners

January 7, 2022

Becoming an independent learner is the school’s philosophy and value that is implemented at the primary school section. The “30 Minutes a Day for Independent Learning” program for grades 4-5 is designed to encourage students to learn to organize their time wisely and to take one small step each day to look back on a big step. The school hopes that parents will cooperate by giving their children 30 minutes a day to read, practice musical instruments, play sports, etc., at their own discretion.

The students would record the start and end of their 30 minutes and what they were learning each day in contact book. After one month, we invited the students to show the results of this phase of independent learning through videos and other forms. This works mainly showed—What do they do every day? What is the progress before and after? How did they motivate themselves to persevere? And how do they feel after a period of persistence.

Let’s have a look at the interesting and vivid independent learning videos of the students.
