Puxi Campus Grade 5: Teacher of the Day

January 6, 2022

In January, the Puxi campus 5th-grade math group conducted an exciting project in which students had to choose a lesson of their own to simulate a teacher for a day, and they had to be the math teacher for a day. The students went from designing the first draft of the lesson plan, having the teacher review and revise it, and then writing the final draft; to making their lesson, teaching it in class, and finally designing the assignment. Everyone worked together in small groups to discuss and distribute their work wisely. They learn more about and understand mathematics by consulting textbooks and looking up information online. What’s more, S+ students also designed extensions.

Such subject activities invariably enable students to explore the connections between understanding and knowledge, to understand the expression of mathematical language, and more importantly, the output is the process of practice, one of the best ways to learn.
