IB/ AP Exams’ Results of the Class of 2016 Were Released

The IB/ AP Exams’ Results of the Class of 2016 were released and SHSID students did a great job in these tests. The passing rate of IBDP is 100%, and among our IB students, 45.5% gained the IB Bilingual Diploma. In addition, 79% students scored 40 and above (out of 45) and the world average score is 30.07. 2016 happened to be the IB Five-year Review time for SHSID. During the Review Visit, IB Educators recognized SHSID IBDP students’ active study attitudes, well-rounded independent thinking skills, and outstanding bilingual communication skills. SHSID has been dedicated to encouraging students’ personal growth and developing their scientific literacy. The Class of 2016 IBDP students fully exhibited their excellent research spirits and problem-solving skills in Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and Extended Essay (EE). These skills will lay a solid foundation for their future college life.

In this May, more than 200 students from Grades 10-12 attended AP tests at SHSID. There were more than 700 tests, which broke a new record. 70% of the tests were scored 5 (out of 5). SHSID emphasizes students’ interest-oriented development and restructured the high school curriculum, which provides students with diversified modules of high selectivity. This enables students to “Focus on their Interest and Stimulate their Potential”. The Class of 2016 excelled in STEM, social sciences, and language subjects, which fully displayed SHSID students’ concrete subjects’ basis as well as great academic potential.

Congratulations to the Class of 2016 and great gratitude goes to SHSID teachers!
