Good News of College Acceptance Results of Class of 2016 (As of Apr. 1st, 2016)

The college acceptance results (as of Apr. 1st, 2016) of Class of 2016 have been released.

Among 247 graduates, a rough survey showed that around 54% students chose to study in the States, and over 90% received offers from Top 50 US Colleges (refer to U.S. News & World Report College Rankings). A multiple offers from the Ivy League reached SHSIDers, including Harvard University, Yale University, Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania, Brown University, and Cornell University. Apart from offers from the Ivies, Class of 2016 also received good news from other top American Universities, including Duke University, the Johns Hopkins University, Vanderbilt University, Washington University in St. Louis, University of California – Berkeley, Emory University, UCLA, University of Southern California, University of Virginia, Tufts University, Wake Forest University, University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, etc. Offers from the top Liberal Arts Colleges also arrived, including Williams College, Swarthmore College, Pomona College, etc.

For UK universities, two students were admitted respectively by the Trinity College and Clare College of the University of Cambridge; offer letters from prominent UK colleges like Imperial College London, University of St. Andrews, and University College London came one after another.

Many renowned universities and colleges in other countries and regions also sent offer letters to our students, including Sciences Po in France; Yale-NUS College in Singapore; University of Sydney in Australia; University of Toronto in Canada; the University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, etc.

In addition to these offer letters, quite a few number of SHSID graduates were thrilled to receive scholarships from various colleges to accomplish their further education.

Congratulations to Class of 2016 and all teachers who have accompanied and taught Class of 2016! The school expects Class of 2016 to remain modest and make further progress during the high school days. The school also believes that Class of 2016 is well prepared to bravely take challenges in the future!
