This semester Grade 6 computer class took project-based learning method to help students to learn computer hardware knowledge. Different from the previous teaching methods, now the students in class were divided into small groups, and each group worked independently, collected materials, produced PPT, made computer models, gave lectures and scored each other. In the course, students needed to use their familiar materials to make the motherboard of a computer, collect information to understand the functions and important components of the computer motherboard, make PPT, and then each group would show and explain the model in the classroom. At the end of the project-based study, students also conducted self-assessment and mutual evaluation. Different from the previous mode, students discussed more in a project-based learning setting, showing more cooperation, more participation, and more gains.
