Constitution of Shanghai High School Education Development Foundation

After one year of preparation, Shanghai High School Education Development Foundation was granted the permission of the constitution by Shanghai Administration Bureau NGOs on 18th of December,2017（Decision Letter沪民社登 [2017] No.0546）. The Registration information is displayed on the official website of Shanghai Administration Bureau NGOs. SHS Education foundation is administrated by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission.

On January 5th , 2018, the secretary of the Party committee and the Vice Principal of Shanghai High School, director general and legal representative of Shanghai High School Education Development Foundation, Mr. Wang Hui, received the registration certificate of legal person from Shanghai Administration Bureau NGOs（Certificate for Uniform Social Credit Code：53310000MJ4951603N）. The original funds for the foundation are provided by Mr. Zhao Xingyao and Mr. Yao Chong, both of whom are alumni of Shanghai High School.

Shanghai High School Education Development Foundation will raise funds from alumni of Shanghai High School and Shanghai High School International Division. Generous corporations and individuals from other countries and regions who are enthusiastic about education development are also welcome to make a donation. As a bridge of cultural exchange between the East and West and the leading school in fundamental education, Shanghai High School has a proud reputation and a strong influence in education. With the help of this reputation and influence, this foundation will not only collect funds and donations from alumni of Shanghai High School, but also from donators from other countries and regions. These funds will be used to aid in teaching and learning, research materials, library resources, IT equipment, to support the introduction of new subjects and creative labs in Shanghai High School, as well as the other programs that promote the development of fundamental education. The educational charity activities will be carried out within legal, voluntary and honest principles.

The scope of operation of the Shanghai High School Education Development Foundation includes financing research and teacher training programs; giving awards to teachers and staff who provide special contributions to educational reform and development, and to students with excellent character traits and learning habits, granting to assist teachers and students who need financial support; assisting exchange programs for fundamental education, etc. In the future, the Shanghai High School Education Development Foundation will gain support from not only alumni of Shanghai High School and Shanghai High School International Division, but also corporations as well as people who are enthusiastic about education development from other countries and regions, which can all help promote the development of Shanghai’s fundamental education.
