Mother’s Day is close. To express their sincere appreciation and best wishes, the 4th graders from the SHSID Pudong campus prepared a secret gift for their mother during PG class on May 6th. With the guidance of homeroom teachers, the students patiently learned to make a handmade bouquet. They paid much attention to folding, cutting, and wrapping. Some folded endearing flower petals; some wrapped the bouquet into a beautiful shape; some wrote words of gratitude on decoration paper. The classroom was full of joy and love. Compared with fresh flowers, the handmade bouquet shows children’s effort and genuineness, which is more meaningful. We believe that moms will be delighted to receive this secret gift on Sunday. Through the activity, 4th graders learned how to show appreciation and gratefulness. They gained a sense of achievement, as well.
