Puxi Campus G4: Read and Tell Myth Stories

October 19, 2022

In Puxi campus, grade four students are learning myth stories in their Chinese class. Students learned classic Chinese myth stories such as Pan Gu and Jing Wei. After some thorough discussions on the stories, students were impressed by the fantastic imagination of ancient people, admired the lofty morals of the characters, and learned how to tell a good story.

Our fourth grade students learned that in order to tell a good story, they need to explain the cause of the incident, how the plot proceed, and the result in a vivid way. After the lesson, students showed great passion in myth stories, which encourages them to read more excellent myth stories from the past and present. After reading stories such as Kua Fu, the Goddess in the Moon, Prometheus and so on, they further wrote the gist of the stories in their own words and then told the stories to their classmates, promoting their reading, writing and speaking skills at the same time.
