Puxi Grade 3: Let's Do a Camping Plan!

October 19, 2022

The clouds are clear, and the autumn wind is blowing. October is a good time for camping. Before the third-grade students in Puxi campus set off, today a special math class helped them prepare in advance. Students need to use the time knowledge they have recently learned in math class to plan a happy camping time.

First of all, the students chose the camping activities among trail hiking, plant identification, picnic lunch, ball games, boating, fishing, barbecue dinner, etc. Of course, the sequence arrangement of different activities was also a technical task. However, the students handled it with ease. According to the information provided in the table, they calculated the end time of each project, and did not forget to set aside ten minutes for themselves to rest in the gap! Finally, the students presented the planned activity content on six comic strips more intuitively, and also marked the activity time on the clock face of each picture.

It was a harmonious and loving camping project, and a good practice of applying what you’ve learned. Knowledge of math helped the students plan their camping, let’s hope it will continue to help them at school and in their daily lives!
