Lingang Grade 1: Sparkling Halloween Brings Joy in October

October 31, 2022

Before we enter November, this October still leaves a surprise for everyone. The annual Halloween festival on October 31, is a time that both adults and children look forward to, which gives children a chance to realize their dreams, not to mention that there is a lot of candy to eat!

Last Friday morning, the first-grade teachers of SHSID Lingang campus were waiting for the students at the entrance of the school with great anticipation. Shortly after, the lovely students made their appearance! Some children turned into cute little princesses, handsome supermen, magical witches, Batman and many others. It was as if characters from cartoons had come to life! The entrance of the school became a sea of joy as parents and teachers took pictures with their smart phones to record the transforming moment of the whole school in costume.

As soon as the bell pf the fourth class rang in the morning, the children dressed in Halloween costumes were like a flock of happy birds, enjoying the “trick-or-treat” activity planned by the teachers. With the voice of "Trick or Treat", there was a lot of laughter. In less than 8 minutes, the students had already collected colorful candies, and the children felt a sense of accomplishment when they saw their trophies.

The costume parade was also an important part of the Halloween celebration. After lunch, the children marched through the campus from their classrooms. The elaborate costumes sparked screams and applause from other students and teachers at the school. There was a lot of laughter and greetings all the way through the parade.

Halloween is also a time to celebrate fall. Let’s praise the harvest and feel the joy together!
