Grade 9: Assembly - Learn to Prioritize

November 14, 2022

As autumn slips away with November setting in for SHSID, buoyant SHSIDers in G9 gathered at the assembly held in the lecture hall every Tuesday, anticipating in high spirits the announcements that would be made.

First, the director introduced the registration procedures for the Art Festival, signifying the inception of this annual activity where students are given a stage to display their talents.

Then came the student presentation. Through a humorous tone, Sophia from 9(5) shared her experiences on time management. To start with, one needs to learn to quit the time-consuming activities he or she is not really interested in. Second, one has to prioritize the tasks and duties he or she is obliged to perform, and it would be best to postpone trivial tasks in favor of more important ones by one’s standard. Of course, another thing to do is disperse and plan, by which one needs to plan beforehand the allocation of workload to different days so as to not cram at the last second. Only in this way can one efficiently finish all due work with leftover time at disposal. Finally, Sophia also shared one of her schedules, an aid to many listeners for their time management strategies.
