Grade 10 Assembly - Handcrafting Sharing

November 24, 2022

On November the 23rd, at the G10 Assembly, Xin from class 10(2) gave a lecture unique to other academically-related lectures and stood out due to its center focusing on relaxation and interest. She used a relatively funny tone to speak of her interest in handcrafting and shared her experiences in the handcrafting club.

She told of the many fractions of memories preserved in photographs of this club, ranging from the letter making at the start, the large project of the pin painting requiring everyone’s help, to the more recent yarn ball making, and the creative mask making.

She also mentioned the positive effects on others that can be generated when handcrafted objects are made to be gifts, and the happiness returned to the sender of the gift. She reminded the other students to remember to relax even during the harder times, and to destress by pursuing one’s interests.
