SHSID students participated in the Australian Mathematics Competition online two months ago. The competition result was announced yesterday on 23rd November. The Australian Mathematics Trust (AMT) is a national non-profit organization whose purpose is to enrich the teaching and learning of mathematics for students of all standards. The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) was introduced in Australia in 1978 as the first Australia-wide mathematics competition for students. It has become the largest single event on the Australian education calendar, allowing students to attempt the same tasks on the same day in over 32 countries around the globe.

A special shout out to the students from SHSID for their outstanding performance during the AMC. They have won 1 PETER O'HALLORAN AWARD OF EXCELLENCE (Full marks), 1 PRIZE, 26 HIGH DISTINCTION Awards, and 114 DISTINCTION Awards from the exam.

We would like to acknowledge the effort of all participants, and once again, CONGRATULATIONS to all award winners!
