ASB election for Year 11&12

September 15, 2011

Throughout the election time, the spirits and enthusiasm of the candidates, who had delivered a positive message to the community, gave us a great impression. At 2:20 pm, under the guide of four internally chosen ASB member, Christine, Candice, Nicole, and Michael, all 38 potential ASBers stepped on stage to give promising speeches up to two minutes of length containing arguments to promote themselves. The audience, in return, tried their best to support their classmates and friends. In both Chinese and English, plans of schools parties have been proposed, guarantees for more fun have been provided, and offers to listen and help have been made. Right after the speeches, a second and last chance to raise their voice was given to the candidates to convince the crowd of their abilities and the advantages of voting them into the association of 11 junior and 6 senior student body representatives. At the end of the second round of emphasized names, classes, and slogans, the four moderators asked everyone present - students as well as teachers - to put down their final votes before heading home.
