Grade 8 English Fair

8^thGrade Non-Native took part in an English fair late in the semester. Students were given several categories from which to pick a topic. They had to choose from the following categories: People, Current Events , Music or Movies, or the How –to process. Students were then given a large project board and were required to research, organize, and create a project that was both creative and informational. They were required to present their findings using the project board and inform the class about their project. Most of the projects turned out rather well and ranged from The History of Chickens to the filmAvatarto Coco Chanel. It was a very diverse collection. For one afternoon, all the projects were on display for the public to view. ESL teachers came in with their students, who seemed quite interested in the projects. Winners were chosen by votes from the English Department. The winners and categories are listed below.
