Puxi Campus Grade 5: Math Winter Break Project

March 3, 2022

During the past winter break, fifth-grade students at the Puxi campus designed a unique amusement park and carefully considered how it could be carried out smoothly.

In the design process, students entirely used their math knowledge learned in the semester, such as reading data from the charts and drawing charts, probability, basic algorithms, etc. First of all, students designed the attractions in the amusement park and used knowledge of probability to answer related questions. As a manager, students also met lots of practical issues running the park, for example, long lines. Students used charts to present the average number of people in the bar and the rush hours to solve the problem better.

Students also made the study plan for the new semester in the winter break, including weekly and monthly goals to better prepare for the new semester. Students tried their best to develop their independent learning skills and be responsible for their studies!
