On October 15th, 2021, the high school Biology Department meeting was held at Room 209 of Zhentao Building. This meeting was about the guidance on the evaluation of the IA project in IB Biology, which aims to help teachers make more accurate and fair evaluations of students' IA projects based on official criteria. The meeting was hosted by the department head Ms. Gu Ying, and she made a detailed interpretation of the assessment model, especially the differences between criteria and mark-levels. Afterwards, the teachers assessed two projects from students in groups. Finally, through the comparison with the official results and group discussion, all the teachers had a better understanding of the IA evaluation, and, at the same time, this activity also enlightened teachers to have more in-depth thinking about the cultivation of students' subject literacy in biology teaching.
