SHSID Students Achieved Great Results at 2021 CTB International Final Competition

On the weekend from Oct. 15-17, four SHSID student teams attended the 2021 China Thinks Big (CTB) international final competition at ShanghaiTech University. Over 500 high-school students representing 100+ high schools across China, who were shortlisted after the national finals, participated in this grand competition either on site or online. SHSID teams were composed of students in Grades 10 and 11. They participated in the individual challenge, the team presentation, and the 24-hour Hackathon challenge. Finally, they achieved the following great results: One junior student placed 2nd in the individual challenge. All four teams won various awards. The team of 10th graders, who had studied the communication problems between grandparents and grandchildren, placed 3rd globally among the 500+ teams. They also won different awards for individual challenges and team presentations. Congratulations!

China Thinks Big (CTB) is a competitive problem-solving team challenge for high-school students in China, sponsored by Harvard and other top universities in the US and China. Since 2012, SHSID high school has organized students to participate in this top competition continuously and, every year, there are great results achieved by SHSID teams.
