Grade 9: Autumn Birthday Party

October 8, 2021

As September came to an end, the school threw a birthday party for all the 9th graders born in July or September. This was an event organized by 9th-grade students with support from the grade supervisor. Invitational letters were sent out several days in advance. Students participating in the party were encouraged to bring food to share and/or perform for the other attendees to enjoy.

More than 10 eager individuals attended the party, and many stood outside wondering what was happening. Yogurt bottles were arranged to be in the shapes of the numbers 14 and 15 to commemorate the ages of the students. The decorators had inflated balloons and spread them around the room. Then, many photographers entered the birthday party to capture the joy on the students’ faces. Students lined up to have their pictures taken in front of the “Happy Birthday” banner. Then the teachers opened the two big boxes of Lays chips. Everyone swarmed to the table, shared their snacks with friends, and had joyful conversations with each other.

The students left the party with full stomachs and were delighted as ever. The party was a fantastic way to end September and make way for the October National Holiday festival.
